Portraits

The men and women pictured below were part of a project very near and dear to me. AIDS: Before the Cocktail featured people who contracted AIDS before there was a treatment in the beginning of the epidemic 40 years ago. The portraits reflect the ascetic I prefer-a single soft light source. In each case, a large diffused studio light, mounted on a c-stand with an acute battery pack is used to create the final results.
